About Us

We evaluate, diagnose and treat a wide variety of orthopedic and sports medicine conditions through our clinic, providing comprehensive evaluation for both acute and chronic orthopedic injuries. As part of the evaluation and treatment process, we discuss in detail both surgical and nonsurgical management of injuries.

Our ultimate goal is a shared decision-making interaction between physician and patient to determine the most appropriate management and rehabilitation strategy for recovery. Given the scope of our four programs and the extensive list of conditions treated, you should know that some of our most commonly treated injuries include shoulder injuries, knee injuries, hip injuries, elbow injuries and ankle injuries.

Orthopedic and Sports Medicine
New Hartford, NY

Our sports medicine program uses advanced arthroscopic surgery and open procedures such as arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic labral repair, arthroscopic ACL reconstruction, arthroscopic meniscal repair, arthroscopic ankle procedures, arthroscopic elbow procedures and ulnar collateral ligament repairs/reconstructions of the elbow.

Our total joint program includes commonly performed procedures such as total shoulder arthroplasty, total knee arthroplasty and total hip arthroplasty. The general orthopedic program focuses on soft-tissue injuries such as sprains and strains along with fracture treatment. As with the sports medicine program, the total joint arthroplasty program strives to provide advanced surgical and rehabilitation protocols for knee replacement, knee replacement surgery, hip replacement, shoulder replacement and shoulder replacement surgery. The ortho-biologics program provides in-office PRP treatment for multiple joint and tendon problems. We perform stem cell therapy under local anesthesia in an ambulatory surgery setting and use it for multiple joint applications.

Easy Access to Quality Care

The first key component of the G.O. Ortho sports medicine program is easy and unobstructed access to care. To achieve this rapid open-door process, we dovetail the G.O. Ortho sports medicine program into G.O. Ortho’s orthopedic after-hours walk-in clinic. The walk-in clinic is a program that is in addition to our standard office visit evaluation. The injured athlete has the option to contact the office and be seen quickly with a regular office visit or be seen the same day as a walk-in patient. The G.O. Ortho after-hours walk-in clinic is open six days a week. The hours are Monday through Friday 5 PM to 9 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM. We have found that one of the most important aspects of expediting a rapid return to sports after an athlete has been injured is access to specialized orthopedic and sports medicine care.

G.O. Ortho is committed to striving for excellence. Our goal is to provide quality orthopedic and sports medicine care for all our patients while utilizing innovative technologies and surgical procedures to improve patient care at the same time emphasizing education and injury prevention.
